Just back from a 1000 mile round trip to the anniversary show of the Club Bretonische Vorsterhunde - the German equivalent of the CEB. 71 dogs were entered from Germany, France, Denmark, America and England. A tribute to the energy of the German club.

Best Bitch was awarded to Catja vom Junkenhof FBO and Best Dog went to Blanco von der Hubertushohe. MBO

The continuous rain did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the participants nor the professionalism of Christian Gunther who judged the day; and the gala dinner on the night before the show and the evening meal after the show will not be forgotten in a hurry

I would like to add that warm hearted and generous nature of the French participants was something that had to be witnessed to be fully understood. I personally take my hat off to M. Daniels for his gracious action for his German friends.

Congratulations to Guy and Catja....
Guy has gone through a lot of trouble to get himself a good little bitch and is a real " enthousiast".
We can now share our expereinces in the " Continental" way of judging which we like so much from real experts who really explain all the "ins and outs" of the breed.
I am glad Guy enjoyed Christian's judging as much as I did...

I think there is also a difference about expectations of work in France and Germany and the judges work their dogs as well as judge .

Mind you it was good to see so many Brittanys at the recent Brittany Club Working Test.
